The time has arrived…..

So I have exciting but hesitant news to share. For the past week or so my mind & extra time has been spent compiling inventory data, harvesting and crafting tinctures, designing labels, organizing my work space as well as designing an online store. Yes, the time has arrived to share my passion, hard work, and herbal concoctions with the world; at least those in the United States.

I have not posted anything for sale yet, but my personality likes preparation, so I have been working diligently to get all my ducks in a row. This is a such a huge dream of mine! It is scary to be on the edge of putting myself out there, but I know my heart’s in it and I really, truly feel this is just an extension of who I am finally surfacing to reveal what my soul is here to do; grow herbs for preventative health & healing.

It is a process I have and continue to accomplish, step-by-step πŸ‘£. I’ve put my heart & soul into starting, growing, nurturing, harvesting & developing such an intimate relationship with these plants. They have healed me in so many ways and it motivates me to share this discovery & experience with others.

My store’s name is the Backyard Herb Healer and like my herbalist journey, it will start simple and grow with time. I will be sure to announce when it is open for business. This will coincide with displaying and selling at a local store as well. For the most part I want to see which is the best avenue for reaching customers who desire products like these.

I have been diligently collecting herbs and just the other day my labels came in the mail for the bottles. I was pretty excited and pleased with how they turned out. Unfortunately, as with any dream, sometimes a person is all alone in their excitement which can breed doubt and questioning. Honestly, I go back and forth constantly with my feelings about trying to turn this into a business. Yet, I’m sure this is probably pretty normal. Here’s to taking it one day at a time and the confidence to spread my wings and share my love of herbs with others….

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

  1. Good luck with your venture. Sounds great and keep at it. I have just collected for the first time some wild St Johns Wort and have put some under olive oil to hope for a balm to use on the skin. Next I will try this with my wild oregano. Will keep an eye on your posts for tips!

    1. I actually was trying to grow St. John’s Wort too for the same purpose. Still waiting to see if any has been successful. I love oil infusions for skincare. I hope to add some to the store, in time! Thanks for your encouragement πŸ’•πŸ˜Š.
